Haier Washer-Dryer Combo Error Codes: Err1, Err2, Err5, E13 and Unb
Haier all-in-one washer-dryers are popular in condos because they wash and dry in one compact unit. Haier (the company that owns GE Appliances) publishes a list of codes for these machines. Some you can clear yourself. Others need a technician.
Codes you can often fix yourself
- Err1: door not closed. Close the door and make sure the latch catches fully. If it won’t latch, the door lock needs service.
- Err2: not draining. Clean the drain pump filter and check that the drain hose isn’t kinked or pushed too far into the drain.
- Err5: not sensing a full fill. Make sure both water lines are connected and both taps are open. Haier advises against flood-safe inlet hoses on these units because they can restrict flow.
- E13: lint build-up. Haier recommends running a single towel with white vinegar through a wash and dry cycle to clear lint.
- Unb: unbalanced load. Redistribute the laundry evenly and restart.
Codes that need a technician
According to Haier, Err7, Err8, Err9, E10, E1, E2, E4, E8, F7, F9, FA, FC, Fd and FE need professional service. These typically involve the motor, heater, sensors, pump or control board.
